procedures for pregnant residents

If you are living in Okayama City and find out you’re pregnant, you can fill in a Pregnancy Notice (ninshin todokede-sho) in Japanese, English, Chinese, or Korean. You can do this at one of the Okayama Prenatal and Postnatal Consultation Stations (sanzen sango sōdan sutēshon), or your Local Health Center (kaku hoken sentā). There, you will receive a Maternal and Child Health Handbook (oyako techō / boshi techō), a booklet containing medical fee discount tickets (jushin-hyō tsudzuri), and free professional advice. All pregnant persons are eligible for a Maternal and Child Health Handbook, which is used to keep a record of the baby’s health and vaccinations during pregnancy and after giving birth. Please feel free to contact us.
